Development and Evaluation of Topical Formulation Containing Agrimonia pilosa Extract

Natural products are promising drug candidates with various pharmacological effects. However, they can be difficult to use due poor bioavailability or low stability. In this experiment, while developing topical formulations containing 0.1% Agrimonia pilosa extract, a simple and rapid method of analyzing flavonoid glucuronides, which representative ingredients, was developed validated, the physicochemical properties stability glucuronides were observed. As result, an optimized cream formulation developed. The oil phase comprised tween 60, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, cetanol, stearyl alcohol, span benzyl A. extracts, water citric acid hydrate. Then, microbial tests conducted under long-term (12 months) accelerated conditions (6 months). It thus confirmed that both biological stable during test period. Consequently, for extract confirmed.
